Job Description

This position is responsible for managing backhaul needs and developing customer & carrier relationships, while providing the highest level of service.  Work, typically performed under minimal daily supervision requires a self-motivated and results oriented individual who displays flexibility to function effectively in a constant changing, fast paced, service-oriented environment.  An Interactive employee will have three areas of concentration, loading FirstFleet units, soliciting for new business, and building positive relationships with all customers – both internal (FirstFleet locations) and external (shippers and carriers).

Duties and responsibilities:

•         Answer calls / emails

•         Collect available unit information (daily & recurring)

•         Handle equipment postings (keep current throughout the day)

•         Search for and secure freight

•         Data Entry

•         Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing carriers, brokers and customers.

•         Provide superior support to fleets, brokers and customers.

•         Act as a liaison between fleets and brokers.

•         Respond to inquiries in a timely manner

•         Communicate and resolve service issues as quickly as possible

•         Be aware and maintain customer credit expectations

•         Manage necessary reports

•         Seek out freight/equipment opportunities (striving to reduce / eliminate empty miles)

•         Other related duties and participate in projects as needed

•         Backup other team members
