Job Description

FirstFleet Inc in Fountain CO is seeking an experienced Transportation Safety & Recruiting Manager.
Safety Responsibilities:
Oversee and follow up with all safety related items including, but not limited too;
• Accident and incident follow ups, training, and disciplinary action follow up items.
• CER reviews and driver counseling.
• Enforcing all yard policies, violations, and driver follow-ups.
• Work with and setup corporate driver training classes (spring and fall training).
• 24/7 availability to follow up with ongoing accidents and incidents.
• Ability to follow up with needs while outside office.
• Flexibility to alter schedule to meet with drivers needing to complete training and safety items.
• 40 + hour in office work schedule. Outside office follow up through email/phone monitoring.
Recruiting Responsibilities:
• Immediate contact with all driver applications (text, calls, emails).
• Setup and follow through with drug screens, DOT physicals
• Working with corporate recruiting group, ensuring timely processing of driver apps.
• Onboarding and orientations of new hires to include scheduling road testing with driver trainers.
• Maintain driver trainer group, setup meetings, and ensure procedures are followed regarding training, observation rides and road tests.
• Ability to follow up with driver applicants while outside office and flexibility for interviews and driver onboarding.
Multi-tasking is a must in this position. The ability to interact positively with driver disciplinary actions, follow through with assigned training and communicate in a timely manner are keys to success. Ongoing conversations with all staff, drivers, driver trainers, and corporate recruiting as well as fleet and terminal managers are of the utmost importance. Keeping up with policy changes and enforcing those in place on site locally and throughout the Kroger areas are a must.
To succeed in this position, you must be able to communicate effectively, efficiently, and quickly as well as follow up through completion of all tasks, inside and outside of the office environment.
